cuisine is defined in Wikipedia as studies on various cultural components that take as central food.
I think the food is one of the factors that help us understand and create links with cultures and customs different from ours latitudes. Colombia is a country with an impressive variety of dishes and culinary traditions, each region also has delicious preparations can be magical, thanks to the multiplicity of ancestral legacies we receive from our first settlers from different culinary cultures as English, Indian, African and Arab. Walking
every corner of the motherland is an experience a bit regressive, as if (Or at least to me) is awakened to a genetic awareness shakira (hahaha), somehow feels strange and mystical than that which is watching and knows, maybe the thing there is in construction Colonial with Colombian and the same goes with food.
My primary experience with English cuisine is based on the public dining hall of Diego de Covarrubias of the UCM, where breakfast, lunch and dinner Monday through Friday. Breakfast was always juice or orange juice or apples, had to pick coffee, milk, cereals and bread, some days there was ham. Lunch always had potatoes or chips and consisted of three dishes: salad, first, second and usually was not much difference between lunch and dinner, baked fish, pork chop, a variety of hams, gazpacho, pasta, potato salad, rice with tomatoes and for dessert fruit (pears, apples, cantaloupe or pin), provided there was bread, olive oil and balsamic vinegar.
The variety of restaurants in this city is like any other metropolis, as well as the usual MacDonald, Starbooks, Subways and others, can be found throughout the city Kebabs, skewered meat on a stick that spins very close to a candela to the kitchen, cut into thin slices and serve in pitas open and with a variety of other ingredients Middle Eastern, is an excellent choice to satisfy the hunger that causes walking miles under the summer sun without spending much money. Understand that fine restaurants, expensive and elegant, there are thousands, especially in the area of \u200b\u200bthe Plaza Cibeles, Neptune and all the Castellana, but of these I can not say many because I ate them.
Another enjoyable experience are all you can eat for 9euros, salad & Co is an example of them. Across the street price after the Gran Via is one of the most beautiful, the salads are to enter the restaurant, you serve what you want from the salad bar and pay the rest of the meal the next and the value of the salad is possible to consume everything else including desserts and drinks, with the possibility of repeating. Here they serve baked chicken, lasagna, creamed onions and mushrooms, rice, tomato sauce, mashed almost too generic dishes that do not have many traditional connotations but very rich and well prepared.
But what I really like Madrid were the tapas. I loved this chapter, the mere fact of going to a bar and order something to drink and makes you worthy of a top, these vary from place to place (there are thousands of places) and comprise a small portion of food that can be from the traditional pork rinds as the Colombian, passing bits of chorizo, serrano ham, ham york, machegos cheeses, sausages, Russian salad in its different versions, potatoes with mayonnaise and herbs, pieces of bread with ham and cheese (sandwiches), olives, pickled onions, anchovies in oil or vinegar, or tuna meatballs, squid fried shrimp and a number of possibilities.
Going for a walk is a real gastronomic experience in Madrid because only in the sector of the great highway, there are places like the Museum of Ham, BocaĆto, El patio de Carmen, Xalla and others where you can enjoy this English tradition love and tastes great.
Palza If we walk in the Callao to the square of the sun in any way Fnac separating, we can find traditional paella restaurants, which serve individual portions of this dish and really worth a visit even when it's a bit expensive.
Another tradition of English cuisine are the sandwiches, sandwiching but with a long and coarse bread that brings half ham omelette or ham and cheese. It is normal as when eating in a park or on the subway or anywhere on the street, people out of their backpacks snacks and water to sit and comfortably enjoy their dishes.
And on the dessert would have to write another post, but it is worth noting that the chicken in chocolate and pumpkin pies, two pieces of "cakes" which frankly I could not forget.

definitely the dining experience you can live in Spain is inexhaustible, the relationship of these people with food has so many variables that a month is not enough to enjoy them all, but to build a strong bond with them to discover real flavors that occur in our Colombian food.
